NOTICES FOR GARDENERS

SPRING March 23, 2011
We have several new members of the garden project this year and some have already begun working in their beds, planting onion bulbs and cool weather crops.

Work has begun to restore the greenhouse and as soon as possible it will be put back into service.

May Update

Gardening is under way between storms and hail. The greenhouse is back in service and has lots of veggies planted inside. Most of the individual beds are loaded with onions, radishes, and lettuce. A 30 foot bed of spinach is growing and several other beds are being made. Herbs for cooking are available in the herb bed, and new starter plants are growing in the greenhouse. It is a very busy time and we invite everyone to come up and have a look around.

A Rough Winter

10" of heavy snow and temperature plunge below zero had
a devestating effect on the greenhouse. It will be rebuilt
with added modifications to prevent a repeat of this problem.
